On December 22nd, 1999, Korean Air Cargo Flight 8509 plummeted into a field approximately 55 seconds after departing London Stansted Airport for Milan, Italy. All four crew members perished in the accident. The investigation revealed that the captain had relied on faulty readings from the aircraft's attitude indicator, compounded by a breakdown in communication among the flight crew.
