Synopsis

On the morning of September 11, 1991, Continental Express Flight 2574 was nearing the end of its flight within the state, traveling from Laredo, Texas, to Houston. As the pilots prepared for landing, the aircraft began a steep dive and plummeted from the sky; the left wing disintegrated in the process. All fourteen people aboard perished. A section of the horizontal stabilizer had detached during the flight due to inadequate maintenance, leaving the pilots without control.
