Synopsis

On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 encountered a flock of Canada geese shortly after departing LaGuardia Airport in New York City, approximately one minute and thirty seconds into its flight. The impact disabled both engines, and within two minutes, the flight crew made a successful emergency landing on the Hudson River. All passengers and crew aboard survived the incident.
