Synopsis

Having inflicted a black eye upon Maude, Walter persisted with his drinking. Later still, Arthur arranged for a man recovering from alcoholism to speak with him, hoping to reason him down; but Walter stubbornly rejected any assistance. Discovering that Maude had disposed of all the alcohol, he erupted in fury, and she responded by locking him inside the closet. It was then that Carol made an announcement: she was taking Phillip and moving out.
