Synopsis

Maude was delighted at the prospect of a young black girl from the city’s poorer neighborhoods spending some time with the Findlays. Her enthusiasm, however, soon waned as she realized the girl was a spirited teenager who found little to admire in a home belonging to well-meaning, guilt-conscious liberals, and quickly began to test everyone's patience.
