Synopsis

When a boat explodes, claiming the life of Judge Michael Sterns, Matlock finds himself an unexpected observer. Had Ben not been suffering from seasickness, he would have been aboard. Believing someone targeted him rather than the judge, Matlock, along with Cliff and Jerri, delve into some of Ben’s past cases to uncover the perpetrator. Consequently, Matlock agrees to represent a former lawyer—disbarred precisely five years prior for jury tampering—who stands accused of the crime.
