Synopsis

Returning to academia for further study, Matlock found himself embroiled in a disturbing case when one of his students became the prime suspect in the murder of a professor with whom she’d been intimately involved. As he investigated, however, it quickly became clear that passion wasn't at the heart of the tragedy; instead, a far more prosaic motive – academic dishonesty – lay hidden beneath the surface.
