Synopsis

Accusations have surfaced against a notoriously miserly shopkeeper, alleging he murdered his business partner for possessing an overly generous spirit during the Christmas season. Matlock has accepted the case, much to the displeasure of Steven Abbott, who bristles at the stipulation that part of Matlock’s payment requires Abbott himself to embody a certain degree of goodwill.
