Synopsis

Anthony Stewart stands accused of murdering Michael Russell, the spouse of his mistress. Despite being a British ambassador serving abroad and thus possessing diplomatic immunity, Stewart has declined its protection, insisting on clearing his name through legal channels. Matlcok accepted the challenge of defending the young ambassador, but the case appeared to be nearing resolution when Stewart was struck by a vehicle in what seemed like an attempted hit-and-run.
