This show has its ups and downs—that’s just how these kinds of collections usually work. Some installments are strong, others aren't so much. However, it brings to mind shows like *The Hitchhiker*, *Tales From the Crypt*, and *The Twilight Zone* enough that I can't really pan it. It presents two seasons of separate narratives, each with a central horror element. After that, there are no real limitations. That’s preferable to something like *American Horror Story*, where you’re committed to a single storyline for an entire year if things go south. There's no way to bounce back until the following season. With this type of anthology series, you can always expect the next episode to be something entirely new.
