Synopsis

The third semi-final features the following competitors representing the University of Salford: Marianne Simpson, secretary, will discuss the operas of Gilbert and Sullivan. William Chalmers, solicitor, will present on British politics from 1900 to 1918. Christopher Eames, teacher, will explore the political history of China since 1911. Finally, Michael Gainsford, civil engineer, will examine the Indian tribes of North America between 1550 and 1800.
