Synopsis

Tonight’s contestants, each specializing in a field as diverse as their professions, will explore a wide range of subjects. This heat is hosted by the University of Exeter. The contestants are: DAVID FLOWER, an applied mathematician from the United States; AMANDA HILL, a postal officer with roots tracing back to the descendants of Queen Victoria; ROBERT SMITH, a London taxi-driver interested in Viking Atlantic voyages; and JOHN LANGFORD, a careers officer who focuses on the life of Oliver Cr
