Synopsis

The imposing black chair awaits its next anxious visitor as the challenging quiz show returns for its thirtieth year. Tonight’s four contestants will face questions spanning a diverse range of specialized topics: the history of American submarines, Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern novels, the Blackadder television comedy series, and the life and works of Ivor Novello. John Humphrys poses the questions and delivers the judgments.
