Synopsis

The final semi-final of the series presented a demanding test of knowledge for the contestants. They were challenged on topics ranging from the history of Scottish infantry regiments and the city of Liverpool, to the life and compositions of Orlande de Lassus, and the triumphs of the England football team. Questionmaster John Humphrys posed the queries.
