Synopsis

Tonight's program, the final broadcast before the quarter finals, features Daniel Appleby discussing West Africa, followed by Mrs. Marilyn Halberstam on crime in the 19th and 20th centuries. Andrew Hardman then explores the history of Greece and its city-states, extending to the death of Alexander the Great, and finally, Paul Ponder presents on British birds. The program is introduced by Magnus Magnusson of Reading University.
