Synopsis

In the Academy Room at Stonyhurst College, Magnus Magnusson engages four individuals from northern England in conversation. The participants are: Dave Burnham, a local government officer with a keen interest in the heroic age of Antarctic exploration (1897-1922); Linden Adams, a teacher specializing in the life and works of Barbara Pym; Stephen Allen, an actor fascinated by the life and reign of Henry VII; and Andrew Francis, a lecturer whose expertise lies in the life and career of Erwin Rommel
