Synopsis

The final semi-final features four individuals, each representing the top scores among those who did not advance. Tonight’s participants will be: Stephen Burgess, a leading steward in the Royal Navy, presenting a history of the service from 1756 to 1815; Mary Rattle, a housewife, discussing the life and works of Beethoven; Frank Rogers, a teacher, exploring voyages of discovery during the 15th and 16th centuries; and David Edwards, also a teacher, examining the life and work of Benjamin Thompson
