Synopsis

Tonight’s fourth semi-final features David Steele, a local government accountant, who will discuss the life and career of President Truman. Following him is Paul Webbewood, a civil servant, presenting on the life and career of Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658). Dave Ross, a welfare rights worker, will explore European political history from 1870 to 1945. And Bernard Howell, a civil servant, will examine the novels of William Golding.
