Synopsis

Tonight's competitors are: James Moore, a freelance writer specializing in British-American musical theatre of the 1915-35 period; Andrew Pantin, a civil servant whose expertise lies in the life and works of Christopher Isherwood; Brian Daugherty, a post-graduate student researching the history of 20th-century astronomy; and David Steele, a local government accountant focusing on the life and career of David Lloyd George. The final spot in the semi-finals hangs in the balance. Competing against
