Synopsis

The third semi-final featured four further hopefuls, with Magnus Magnusson of the Speech Room at Harrow School presiding. Malcolm Robertson, a composer, presented on the life and works of Ralph Vaughan Williams. Anthony Simpson, a company director, delivered a lecture on the history of the House of Rothschild. Reverend Ron Wood explored Greek Mythology. And Tom Bean, a farmer, spoke about the life and novels of Anthony Trollope.
