Synopsis

Magnus Magnusson of the Museum of Army Transport in Beverley will be judging the four finalists vying for a place in the final semi-final. The contenders are: Peter North, a management consultant, presenting "British Butterflies"; Peter Turton, a retired civil servant, with "Astronomy of the Solar System"; Averil MacLachlan, a civil servant, offering "The Life and Films of Woody Allen"; and Michael Powell, a schoolteacher, who will discuss "The Third French Republic from 1870-1914."
