Synopsis

The University of Aberdeen is the setting for a friendly competition among four Scottish contestants vying for the title of Mastermind's 1987 champion. The challengers are: John Sutherland, a retired civil servant; Admiral Thomas Cochrane, 10th Earl of Dundonald (1775-1860); Eric Forrester, a private investigator, who will be quizzed on the life and works of Robert Burns; Sheila Fleming, a schoolteacher, whose specialist subject is the wildflowers of Scotland; and George Combe, a revenue assi
