Synopsis

The evening’s four participants hail from the southern and western reaches of England, gathering in the Great Hall of the University of Exeter for their contest. Stanley Holbrooke-Jones (vicar) will discuss *Life and Times of Sir Walter Raleigh*. Peter Chapman (retired naval officer) will present *The Works of Albert Camus*. Deirdre Borer (teacher) will speak on the *Ramage* novels of Dudley Pope. And Gerard Godfrey (accountant) will explore the *Life and Plays of J. M. Synge*.
