Synopsis

The Taliesin Centre for the Arts at the University College of Swansea provides the stage for tonight's competition. Four finalists from the first round of Mastermind 1985 will vie for a place in the final. Competing are John Burke, a freelance author, whose specialist subject is Jan Hus and the Hussite Wars, 1415-37; Richard Hills, a schoolmaster, who will face questions on English poetry of the First World War; Ian Meadows, a hospital driver, whose expertise lies in the history of astronomy and
