Synopsis

In the fifth heat of the 1983 Mastermind competition, three women faced a single man: Peter Major, a schoolteacher. Their chosen specialties were as follows: Linda Paxton, a housewife, would explore the lineage of Queen Victoria’s children; Mary Schofield, also a housewife, would delve into British Social and Economic History from 1760 to 1860; and Sian Thomas, a solicitor, would examine the life and works of Colette, the French novelist and playwright.
