Synopsis

The 1983 series culminated tonight with four finalists, a reduction from the initial forty-eight competitors who began in January. Middle Temple Hall in London hosted the final, where two men and two women competed for the title of Mastermind 1983. The victor will be presented with the engraved Caithness Glass trophy by BBC Chairman George Howard, along with an invitation to represent the United Kingdom at Mastermind International later this year.
