Synopsis

The fourth heat welcomes its participants to the University College of North Wales at Bangor. Ian Barton, a university lecturer, will present on Roman emperors of the first and second centuries AD. Anthony Dart, a chartered engineer, will discuss C. P. Snow’s novels, *Strangers and Brothers*. Liam Fogarty, a graduate student, will examine the life and works of Gustave Courbet. Roger Morris, an industrial glove manufacturer, will speak about the Great Western Railway in the nineteenth century.
