Her prize included a hundred thousand dollars in cash, a scholarship to a culinary institution, and a cookbook deal with Random House. Michael, who finished as runner-up, received an offer from judge Gary Mehigan: a culinary apprenticeship at Mehigan’s restaurant, Fenix.
