With the fourth heat underway, the contestants face the daunting Invention Test: a single hour to conjure an exceptional dish entirely from scratch. Survival isn't guaranteed after this; the next challenge is the Palate Test, a novel addition to the MasterChef format. Chef John Torode demonstrates a Glass Noodle Salad with Chicken and Crab. Before the amateur cooks even see the demonstration, they are given mere minutes to taste the dish, then tasked with identifying its precise ingredients thro
