Synopsis

Pam began seeing a much older, affluent man who ultimately proposed marriage. The group had initially worried about the relationship, given their age disparity. However, as time passed, they grew accustomed to the advantages that came with associating with a wealthy industrialist: premium seating at sporting events, new shoes for Martin, and trips to distant, alluring locales. But when Pam ended her engagement, Martin’s dreams of recognition and prosperity evaporated.
