The concept is intriguing: a flight departs and returns 5.5 years later, yet the passengers experience no passage of time, only to discover that the world has changed significantly during their absence, and now everyone wants something from them. As anticipated, familiar themes emerge—broken connections, losses, the rise of extremist groups, and inexplicable experiences. These elements feel grounded in reality. However, I found myself losing interest due to contrived plot elements: unspoken feelings, unfinished thoughts, transparent deceptions between characters, reliance on destiny, among other things. Adding insult to injury was the constant and repetitive invocation of a Christian deity to justify, condemn, or explain events. The performers deliver acceptable portrayals and manage to communicate certain feelings, but the story would be much stronger without these heavy-handed plot contrivances.
