Synopsis

The nation mourned, barely a week removed from the cessation of the Civil War, when President Lincoln fell victim to an assassin's bullet. Edwin Stanton, Lincoln’s trusted confidant and chief advisor, found himself thrust into the heart of the unfolding crisis.
