Synopsis

Brian’s children were restless, their boredom a palpable thing. A day at the beach with Jo and Dan seemed infinitely more appealing than their father's vague, earnest plans. He was embarking on a quest to understand a past he’d long kept hidden, a life that might have been. Would he risk getting sand in his cherished Renault Scenic, and, more significantly, expose his children to an afternoon with his friends, known for their carefree disregard for convention?
