The film was enjoyable, even though it diverged significantly from what came before. Initially, I felt uneasy about having a female Higgins in the story, as it suggested the possibility of romantic development between the characters, which I would find odd—I much prefer their dynamic to be one of opposition and conflict. However, the reimagining brought a contemporary sensibility to the material, blending clever humor with continuous action sequences.
