Synopsis

Upon receiving a device from Abin Sur, John Carter found himself instantaneously transported to Mars. There, he encountered Marvin the Martian, who, amused by the length of Carter’s recounting of his past, christened him "Yawn Carter." Marvin sought Carter's aid in their ongoing civil war, but Carter, more inclined towards prospecting for gold, hesitated.
