When the initial episodes aired, it had a dedicated fanbase, but wasn’t hugely well-known. Now, after this second season, things seem completely different; votes, ratings, and reviews have all increased significantly. If another season with characters and storylines of similar quality appears, it will certainly rank among the greats like 'Dexter' or 'Breaking Bad'. I believe it has the potential to reach a seventh season for a satisfying conclusion sometime within the next five years. I didn’t review the first season because I wasn’t sure if it would improve. I thought it might just be a one-season story. Now, with such impressive development in this second season, I'm here to say that I enjoyed every episode and have given several of them high marks – they deserve those ratings. The biggest improvement came from the characters; a few new ones were introduced who weren’t mere sidekicks but had a real impact on the main narrative. I especially loved Charlotte, Lucifer’s mother. That was the best addition to the show. The casting was perfect; Tricia Helfer looked better than ever. The season's ending was sad for those who appreciated her character. I hope she returns as Charlotte at some point. Aimee Garcia was another standout performer; her presence makes the crime-solving aspects more engaging. She’s like a lighter version of Dexter, without the darker impulses. Each episode felt distinct, but the overall story progression was excellent, unlike the first season where each episode focused on solving a single crime. It maintains that style here, with some episodes extended to build towards later events. There seemed to be an overarching goal for the plot, and it was presented well, spread throughout the season while still allowing each episode to have its own focus. There’s plenty of humor, action, adventure, suspense, and a touch of romance as well. If you haven't started watching yet, now is the time; as I mentioned, this could become one of the best television shows out there that you shouldn't miss if you want to follow it from the beginning. All the actors were great, and it’s a well-written and shot series. The season finale and its final scene left me wanting more for the third installment. I am looking forward to another excellent season, which is expected in a few months at the end of 2017. Highly recommended! _9/10_
