Synopsis

Amanda Peagram, daughter of a local landowner, was betrothed to Roger Hall. Lovejoy, acting on her father’s behest, furnished their future home with antiques. Yet, Amanda remained unimpressed, while Roger continued his wandering affections. At the wedding, Lovejoy overheard a heated argument between Roger and Amanda's father.
