Synopsis

Lovejoy found himself in an unexpected predicament: the house contents of an elderly widow, a friend of Jane’s, had been stolen, and he was the prime suspect in the local police’s investigation. Determined to clear his name, Lovejoy resolved to uncover the truth himself, enlisting the aid of Brian Nunn, a most resourceful refuse collector. Their investigation was complicated, however, by Eric's peculiar habit of exploring discarded items.
