Synopsis
The past of Richard Alpert reveals a grim beginning: in 1867, he arrived on the island of Black Rock as a slave. He struck a bargain with Jacob – a pact for representation in exchange for eternal life. Now, in the present, Hurley persuades him to aid the candidates in supplanting Jacob and preventing the Man in Black’s departure from the Island.
