Synopsis

After a period of illness, Lizzie is visited by Gordo and Miranda, who bring unwelcome news: she’s been assigned a project partner with Kate in social studies. Lizzie reacts with dismay, and attempts to avoid school the following day, but her parents insist she attend. Kate, equally displeased about the pairing, nonetheless comes to the McGuire house to collaborate on their assignment, bringing a Latvian dish called an Alexander Tort – a raspberry pastry.
