Synopsis

Synclaire unexpectedly finds herself cast as the lead in a play when the original star withdraws the day before opening night. (She had committed the lines during her teenage years as an usher.) The director, however, deems her performance dreadful and predicts the production will ruin both their careers. Nerves plague Synclaire, and she stumbles over her lines, even accidentally striking a fellow actor with a door. To her surprise, the audience reacts with delight, prompting her to begin improv
