Synopsis

Laverne is immediately taken with Keith during their initial encounter, but the atmosphere shifts dramatically days later when Ms. Hunter witnesses a romantic moment between Keith and Regine on the rooftop. (Max, observing the entire scene from her apartment, records the event for the neighborhood newsletter.) Unable to reach her mother by phone, Regine seeks out Khadijah at their favorite bingo parlor to confront her. Laverne explains that Regine’s actions evoke a memory of Regine's conception
