Synopsis

For Mother’s Day, Khadijah and Regine arrange for their mothers to spend time in the Bahamas, and Khadijah's grandmother comes to live with her. Rita voices worry about Nana’s recent tendency to wander, a sign, she fears, of advancing age. Then, Nana disappears, only for Khadijah to discover she has returned to New Jersey for a meeting with her boyfriend, the town baker. With Khadijah as an intermediary, Nana finally confronts Rita about her yearning for a life beyond family obligations. Laverne
