Synopsis

During a vacation in Mexico alongside Emily, Lightman finds himself drawn into the disappearance of an American woman—a single mother traveling with her young daughter. His inquiries reveal she’d become entangled with an illicit fertility broker, and he locates her just as danger closes in. Meanwhile, back in Washington, Foster partners with Lightman's rival, Jack Rader, to examine hospitals throughout the D.C. area. Their investigation seeks to determine why five individuals have fallen serious
