Synopsis

In Mayfield, Beaver, Gilbert, and Richard discovered a burro for sale and, pooling their resources, each contributed ten dollars to purchase it. Following their parents' approval, a dispute arose between Richard and Gilbert over the animal’s ownership. They christened him Pepe. However, the boys soon realized the considerable damage a burro could inflict. Consequently, they shifted the responsibility of care and housing onto Beaver.
