Clarence, weary of Beaver’s persistent teasing with the name "Lumpy," retaliated by bestowing upon Beaver the moniker "Freckles." The name struck a sensitive chord, and Beaver soon became preoccupied with his complexion, embarking on a series of attempts to eradicate the spots that dotted his face.
