Synopsis

A voice on a discarded answering machine directs Briscoe and Curtis toward a man who has confessed to murder, and ultimately to the opulent residence of Carl Anderton. Anderton’s resolute refusal to assist the district attorney’s investigation casts a long shadow over the pursuit of justice, threatening to undermine the case itself.
