Synopsis

Following Stone’s acceptance of a plea bargain from the young, impoverished lover of a wealthy woman murdered in her apartment, a disquiet begins to settle within him. Doubts prick at his certainty that he has delivered the correct man to prison, a feeling amplified by his growing knowledge of the attorney who managed the woman's estate.
