Synopsis

The deaths of three women bearing the same name propel Fontana and Green to revisit the nine-year-old conviction of Leland Barnes, who had shot his wife within a crowded office. With two of the prosecution’s witnesses now deceased and Jack McCoy a target, the detectives grapple with the impossible question: how could Barnes, confined to prison for nine years, have orchestrated someone from the outside to eliminate the very individuals who ensured his imprisonment?
