Synopsis

The murder of a woman initially baffled the police, but the investigation soon revealed the true target: a reporter who had published an exposé on irregularities in the recent senatorial election. Detective Carmichael struggled to persuade the reporter to divulge her sources for the story, which detailed allegations of a fixed vote and tampered ballots, even as the reporter faced imminent danger. Without the source, McCoy and Carmichael found it exceedingly difficult to build a case against the
